Do our services meet your needs?
At The Reading Epiphany, we are reading interventionist who specifically address the needs of struggling readers, as well as those who have been diagnosed with dyslexia utilizing a structured literacy approach. Our primary focus is to address the reading skill deficits that are preventing students from developing into skillful readers. We are not a tutoring service simply offering homework help.
Our services are currently in person only, as we believe this will yield greater results when using multisensory tools & providing immediate feedback to our learners. In addition, students who are serviced by our interventionist should (1) demonstrate appropriate behavior for learning (2) have sustained attention span of at least 45 min to 1 hour (3) exhibit some executive functioning skills that encourages learning, goal setting & self-control.

Our Services
We are currently offering reading intervention to individuals who demonstrate intensive reading challenges, have been diagnosed with dyslexia, or who are currently one or more grade-levels below in reading. Our services includes:
Initial Meeting & Consultation
Parent or guardian provides detailed information about their child’s reading concerns including what supports are currently being offered by the school. Our goal is not only to get to know your child and their reading needs, but to offer you support in building your child’s confidence and removing the self-doubt and negative thoughts about their ability to learn to read.
Cost: Free
Testing & Evaluation
We conduct a series of reading assessments to determine the specific reading skill deficit(s) & the reading level of the child, which identifies a starting point for reading intervention, and outline a clear reading plan that will personally meet the needs of the student.
(NOTE: Although our evaluation may provide some information that is characteristic of someone with dyslexia, we DO NOT diagnose for dyslexia.)
Cost: $475
1:1 Tutoring
Each child is unique. Therefore, 1:1 tutoring is customized to meet the needs of the individual child. The reading interventionist will review the comprehensive assessment report, identify instructional level, and work directly with the parent/guardian to execute a plan that will adequately meet the learning needs of their child.
Reading is very complex, and it will take time and lots of practice to see significant growth.
Cost: $65 per session
Cost varies based on the individual needs of the learner & the number of sessions required. (Typically 10 consecutive sessions are required to begin seeing positive reading growth.)
At the Reading Epiphany, we want to keep our cost affordable and accessible for those who need it the most. We do not want to deny anyone the literacy service they need. So, we encourage you to not allow cost to keep you from reaching out to us. We may be able to offer alternative options.
